'Giving back to the society' is the underlying belief at MPIL's CSR activities. In 2003, MPIL established the Sheth Phoolchand Savitri Devi Gupta Charitable Trust as an Independent Trust, which pursues the social development initiatives of the organization. Since its founding, the Trust has engaged in several charitable and social welfare activities ranging from donations, grants, scholarships, free Meals, schools for the underserved communities as well as women empowerment efforts .Thrust is given on crucial areas like:-

1. Education and Opportunity Development :-

We strongly consider Education as the key catalyst for economic development.

MPIL has been pro active in providing assistance to many schools in backward regions.Recently MPIL organized a school fees donation drive for children of PTCL employees in Salem.

2. Renewable Resources and Environment Sensitive Initiatives :-

In pursuit of Environmental Protection MPIL is pre qualified for LEED Gold status (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for its factory at Tarapur, Maharashtra by prestigious Indian Green Building Council (IGBC)

Recycling concept is fully exploited at MPIL's factory as 98% of the materials undergo Recycling process.

MPIL's foray into solar solution is a conscious effort towards playing a leading role in nurturing the environment.
