WOMEN EMPOWERMENTIn association with the JSW Group, MPIL has taken special initiatives to change the gender dynamics in the steel industry by hiring women in skilled positions usually dominated by men. At MPIL women work shoulder-to-shoulder with men and hold various managerial positions. Women work as coordinators, supervisors, vehicles and heavy machinery operators, drivers as well as site managers.
